Messenger extendable floor oil lamp c1895, with brass and ceramic stand which is decorated with an enamel floral design.
This extendable floor lamp has a marked Messenger collar and lever lift Messenger burner with ‘Harrods Store’ marked on wick winder.
Original apricot/peach optic etched beehive shade in excellent condition with no chips but does have minor ‘flea bites’ on base (which are not visible when in shade holder), new duplex chimney and wick.
Please note the ceramic base does have some ‘stress’ cracks and also one small one on the font, as shown in the photos.
This is reflected in the price.
The lamp extends from 58″ to 85″ and is an extremely heavy lamp
Fully restored and burns really well.
