Aladdin Storm Lantern Model 1A c1950-1960s with 300CP

There is some brass showing through the nickel and some previous soldering on the font. The glass is marked Pheonix Aladdin made in England.

The lantern holds its pressure well and burns very brightly.

Production in Australia began in late 1941 or early 1942 according to records. In one of the Aladdin operating instructions from 1939 they say their own testing showed that the lantern burns over 17 1/2 hours on one filling  (we haven’t tried it).
