Art Nouveau Table Oil Lamp

Art Nouveau Table Oil Lamp

Art Nouveau cast iron base which design includes ornate scroll work, stylised arches and a geometric pyramid shape, has an Rd No. of 328879 showing the design was registered in 1895.

The ‘Excella Duplex England Made’ burner was made by Falk, Stadelmann & Co and was one of their premium burners. With its white porcelain ceramic insert on the winder wheel and the black fired text together with the ‘England Made’ export stamping narrows the manufacturing date down to a tight 5-year window between 1897 and 1902.

The large embossed satin glass font does have 2 small surface cracks in the glazing near the collar (these do not go all the way through) also there are two firing marks on the side of the font – please check photos carefully.

Has new duplex chimney and wicks with a matching reproduction blue beehive shade.

Height to top of chimney 23″ and is a heavy lamp weighing 2.6kg.

Fully restored and burns well.

Please select ‘quote for shipping’ and we will get back to you with the cheapest shipping option as courier is often cheaper than Australia Post for these larger lamps.
