Green Majolica hanging oil lamp.

This large Majolica hanging lamp is an excellent Vintage reproduction on an Art Noveau style oil lamp. The font and font carrier is a lush green decorated flowers and carrying a 14”’ (ligne) Kosmos burner, chimney and wick.

The brass arms depict a Mascaron with puffed cheeks blowing ‘The North Wind’ with a gnome like figure grappling with his umbrella. Each arm also supports doble candle holders with six candles in total. A large opal glass shade is on a similar decorated ring.

Hanging chains carry a large counterweight with white porcelain smoke bell.

The hanging hooked top roller mechanism is also brass depicting flying fish.

The lamp has an extended length of 4′ 3″ from 3′ 8″.

Lamp is in excellent condition and burns well.

It is an extremely heavy lamp and would need the ‘quote for shipping’ to be selected as would be too heavy and big for Australia Post.
