French Pidgeon oil lamp ON HOLD

Original French Pigeon mineral brass oil lamp, renowned for its reliability and robustness.
This type of lamp was used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly for domestic lighting and travel.
The tank still bears the original engraved markings mentioning the PIGEON brand, the guarantee, and the exclusive use of mineral spirits, attesting to its authenticity, c1900’s.

Inscriptions are engraved proving the authenticity of the patented lamp “inexplosive safety lamp burning with mineral spirits / La Semeuse / registered trademark filled with felt” (the original felt is still in place).

The Pigeon oil lamp can be hung from the hole on the handle.

The Pigeon oil lamp is in excellent original condition and burns well. Height 8 1/2″
