Hinks & Sons Griffin Oil Lamp c1895.

Solid brass base with Griffin like figure supporting cut glass font – which glows yellow/green under black light- and Hinks marked collar. Duplex burner marked ‘Hinks Duplex Patent’ with old Griffin Brand chimney, new wicks and original acid etched ball shade

Some damage to glass in thumb wheel – hard to see in photos.

The base appears twice in ‘James Hinks, Sons’ lighting catalogue pages 24 and 43.

Height to top of chimney 24″. Brass can be polished if required

Fully restored and burning well.
